good or bad, a result is a result and can be improved upon. if you were attentive to your actions during the process, your next cup of coffee should be better than the last.

the amount of heat your burner generates translates into a certain amount of convection occurring in the upper chamber. an overactive lower chamber results in over-extraction from agitation.

The Cocktail Spirit with Robert Hess – Coffee Cocktail

First encountered in Jerry Thomas’ 1887 Bartender’s Guide, he specifically notes that “The name of this cocktail is a misnomer, as coffee and bitters are not to be found among its ingredients, but it looks like coffee when it has been properly concocted, and hence probably its name.” Distributed by Tubemogul.

Q&A: What is the final temperature of the coffee in degrees Celsius? Treat the coffee as if it were water.?

Question by : What is the final temperature of the coffee in degrees Celsius? Treat the coffee as if it were water.?
A thermos contains 156 cm3 of coffee at 84.4 °C. To cool the coffee, you drop two 12.6-g ice cubes into the thermos. The ice cubes are initially at 0 °C and melt completely. What is the final temperature of the coffee in degrees Celsius? Treat the coffee as if it were water.

Best answer:

Answer by KenK
Did they indicate it takes 334J/g to melt ice? Or 79.72 cal/g? And that it takes 1 calorie to raise 1g of ice one degree C? Thus, when the ice melts, that is (2*12.6g)*(79.72cal/g). To see how much that dropped the water, X cal*(1gram*C/cal)… is that getting you warmer?
