The best part of SXSW was when Dakota, Boone, and I ditched Austin and headed down to San Marcos for a quiet show at a coffee house/bar/hangout place.
I played guitar in front of people, by myself, for the first time. It was pretty terrible, just two songs, but I really enjoyed it.
Then I backed Dakota up on keyboards for a whole set as "Sharxks." For whatever reason, Dakota goes by Sharxks in San Marcos.
Boone played, too, and a guy did a poetry reading.
