It’s remarkable how listening to the cadences of Thoreau’s prose slows and soothes my overstimulated mind. The century #21 shows all signs of being the century of over-over-stimulation. And his avoidance of the ambitions and materialism of the 19th century is a good example for we the living.
This, if in the mood is insightful to the soul but, can get to wordy, if not in the mood. Long attention spans on the internet come from short snipits of half truths and jest. If I were to channel this one for Thoreau it would be on TVO or PBS.
