Guatemalan coffee is revered as one of the most flavorful cups in the world.

Due to the US proximity to Guatemala, some of the finest coffee beans from this origin regularly make their way to the United States. Guatemalan growing regions vary in their potential quality, and many have sufficient altitude, soil and climate conditions.

Named after a city in the central highlands, Guatemalan Antigua coffee beans are well-known and highly rated.

The Asociación Nacional del Café (Anacafè) (National Coffee Association) represents all coffee producers producers (over sixty thousand of them) in Guatemala. Anacafè has established the Guatemalan Coffees brand, defined the seven coffee regions as well as built the Analab coffee laboraties, the FUNCAFÉ program for children, and the El Cafetal coffee magazine.
