Mission Statement

Margay Coffee Company supplies gourmet coffee to people who prefer the best. Our specialty coffees from around the world bring a little taste of home from Central and South America, Africa and Asia.

We believe fine dining does not come at the expense of ignoring the larger world. Our socially responsible coffees include a selection of Fair Trade certified and organic coffees. In support of our beliefs, we also donate a percentage of our sales to wildlife preservation. 

As you might suspect, we are avid coffee drinkers, and some might call us coffee snobs! We have long conversations with friends and customers about the relative merits of African vs South American coffee, and can go into rhapsodies about the aroma and taste of a new favorite coffee. OK - we might be a tad strange...

Why Our Namesake, the Margay?

As well as coffee fans, we're also huge fans of the wild species on our planet. Margays are small wild cats from Central and South America. These beautiful little cats are extremely shy, and depend on trees and shade cover for survival. They are highly endangered, and the reason we donate to wild cat conservation in South America. For every pound of coffee sold from Peru and Costa Rica, $1.00 goes to The International Society for Endangered Cats Canada.
